| چکیده | ||
| The aim of the present study was to predict the quality of life of working women with metabolic polyendocrine ovarian syndrome based on health locus of control with the mediating role of body image concern. The purpose of the study was applied, and the research method was descriptive-correlational. The statistical population of this study consisted of all working women with metabolic polyendocrine ovarian syndrome in the city of Tehran in the year 2026, from among whom 220 individuals were selected through convenience sampling. The research instruments included the Health-Related Quality of Life Questionnaire, the Multidimensional Health Locus of Control Scale, and the Body Image Concern Inventory. Data were analyzed using structural equation modeling (SEM) with SPSS version 27 and AMOS version 24 software. The results showed that internal health locus of control positively and significantly predicted the quality of life of working women with metabolic polyendocrine ovarian syndrome through the mediating role of body image concern (β=0.133, P=0.010). Internal health locus of control negatively and significantly predicted the quality of life of working women with metabolic polyendocrine ovarian syndrome through the mediating role of body image concern (β=−0.154, P=0.010). The results indicate that strengthening internal health locus of control and reducing body image concern can help improve the quality of life of working women with metabolic polyendocrine ovarian syndrome. Therefore, designing psychological interventions based on increasing health responsibility and improving attitudes toward the body appears necessary in the counseling and therapeutic services provided to these women. | ||
