| Workplace religiosity can influence people's commitment, motivation, and job values, which may have an impact on procrastination, particularly in critical jobs like teaching. Although procrastination is generally associated with negative outcomes, its relationship with workplace religiosity and job values remains relatively underexplored. So, the main goal of this study is to investigate the role of work religiosity and job values in procrastination among teachers in Sib City. The statistical population of this study consists of a total of 280 teachers in Sib City during the 2021–2022 academic year. By applying the Cochran formula for convenience sampling, the sample size was estimated to be 165 participants. Data were collected using standardized measures of procrastination (Schwarzer et al., 2000), religiosity at work (Lynn et al., 2008), and occupational values (Alas, 2007). The results from one-tailed correlation analyses highlighted a significant negative correlation between work religiosity (r=-0.130, p<0.05) and job values (r=-0.107, p<0.05) with procrastination. Regression analysis underscored that work religiosity (β=-0.139, p=0.02) and work values (β=-0.118, p=0.048) together explained 3.1% of the variance in active procrastination. The findings suggest that increasing work religiosity and job values can reduce procrastination among teachers. So, any attempt to improve work religiosity and job values may be useful to reduce procrastination. | ||
