| The present study aimed to determine the structural model of the mediating role of coping strategies in the relationship between family functioning and self-differentiation with emotional divorce among educational female staffs. The research method was descriptive-correlational. The statistical population of this study included all educational female staffs in Kermanshah province in the spring of 2024, from which 270 individuals were selected through convenience sampling. The research instruments included the McMaster Family Assessment Device; the Self-Differentiation Questionnaire; the Coping Styles Questionnaire; and the Emotional Divorce Questionnaire. Structural equation modeling was used for data analysis. In the present study, the indirect path coefficient between family functioning and emotional divorce (β=-0.338, P=0.01) and between self-differentiation and emotional divorce (β=0.253, P=0.01) was significant at the 0.01 level. The findings of this research indicate that enhancing self-differentiation and training in effective coping strategies can be used as an effective lever to improve family functioning and reduce emotional divorce among educational female staffs. Therefore, designing targeted educational and counseling interventions within the education system can play a preventive and promotive role in the health of marital relationships. | ||
