In the present work, we reported a study and evaluating of synthesis and properties of nanocomposites hydrogel based on N-isopropyl acryl amide–acrylic acid and different amounts (1,3,5 wt. %) of unmodified and modified layered double hydroxide in condition of room temperature. First, unmodified LDH was prepared via reactions of magnesium nitrate and aluminum nitrate in pH between 10-10.5 together with stirring and it was heated up to about 50°C.for modifying of LDH was used sodium dodecyl benzene sulfate , as modifier., dispersed in the ultrasonic device at 50°C for 10 minutes. The hydrogel nano composite was prepared via reactions of N-isopropyl acryl amide and acrylic acid monomers with initiator and crosslinking agent and unmodified and modified LDH in water. Then, tests is conducted on hydrogel nanocomposites based on N-isopropyl acryl amide and acrylic acid monomers and unmodified and modified layered double hydroxide by sodium dodecyl benzene sulfate. The measurement of swelling rate was done at 37 °C. The results indicated swelling rate of hydrogel had inverse relationship with the increase of layered double hydroxide nanoparticles so that with the increase of layered double hydroxide /hydrogel ratio, water absorbs of hydrogel reduced. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) revealed the continuous presence of nanoparticles in the hydrogel nanocomposite. Structural confirmation was achieved through Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), X-ray diffraction, and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). | ||
