چکیده | ||
This article rigorously examines the multifaceted obstacles and challenges inherent in the implementation of national cryptocurrencies within developing countries, focusing on both central bank digital currencies (CBDCs) and private sector cryptocurrencies. Utilizing a decision-making framework grounded in Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), the authors systematically identify and prioritize these challenges. They introduce an innovative combined methodology that integrates Step-wise Weight Assessment Ratio Analysis (SWARA) and Weighted Aggregated Sum Product Assessment (WASPAS) to enhance the precision of decision-making processes. The study delineates critical risks associated with CBDCs, including inadequate financial backing for stablecoins, currency volatility, complexities of centralized management, and the lack of a universally accepted ecosystem. Conversely, for private-sector cryptocurrencies, the research highlights significant risks such as the preservation of small-scale capital value and the imperative of data protection and privacy. The findings underscore the necessity for comprehensive strategies to mitigate these challenges, thereby facilitating the effective adoption of cryptocurrencies in developing economies. | ||
