| چکیده | ||
| Power cables are critical components of electrical power systems, whose reliability is strongly affected by thermal and mechanical stresses. Continuous condition monitoring is therefore essential for preventing insulation degradation, unexpected failures, and costly maintenance. In recent years, smart nanosensors have emerged as promising monitoring technologies owing to their high sensitivity, rapid response, and capability for real-time measurements. This paper presents a comprehensive review of smart nanosensors for thermal and mechanical monitoring of power cables. To provide a systematic perspective, the review is organized into six main categories: (i) fundamental concepts of cable degradation and nanosensing technologies, (ii) classifications of nanosensors, (iii) thermal monitoring applications, (iv) mechanical stress monitoring, (v) sensor integration and comparison with conventional monitoring methods, and (vi) current challenges, research gaps, and future trends. The review highlights the capabilities of graphene-, carbon nanotube-, and fiber optic-based sensors for accurate temperature and strain monitoring and discusses their potential for predictive maintenance in smart power systems. Finally, key challenges, including long-term durability, industrial integration, and standardization, are identified, and future research directions toward intelligent cable monitoring and smart grid applications are outlined. | ||
